About

Kathryn is a recognised global leader in business integrity and anti-corruption advocacy. Kathryn founded Kathryn Higgs & Associates and the Ethics Triage service because she is driven by a passion to have a positive impact through her work and to help organisations ensure their ESG & business conduct programmes also make an impact.

A lawyer by background, Kathryn has held roles as Chief Ethics Officer with Balfour Beatty, Tesco and the United Nations. She also served as Director of Business Integrity at Transparency International – partnering with the private sector to advance the standards of business ethics globally.

She now acts as strategic advisor on business integrity and ESG. Kathryn has deep subject matter expertise in anti-bribery and fraud, human rights, responsible supply chains, modern slavery, DEI and respect at work. She has conducted both internal and external investigations. She has extensive experience in crisis response and has helped numerous organisations implement, improve and embed world-class programmes and achieve meaningful change.

In recognition of her expertise, Kathryn’s views have been sought by No.10 Downing Street and she has given expert evidence at the House of Lords. She has also received several awards, including being listed in the “Hot 100” in The Lawyer for “groundbreaking and transformative” work.
