David Fuhr

David is the Chief in the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (“FCPA”) Unit of the U.S. Department of Justice. He joined the FCPA Unit in 2013 as a trial attorney. During his time in the FCPA Unit, David has been involved in, among other cases, the corporate resolutions of Odebrecht, S.A., Keppel Offshore & Marine, Vitol S.A., and Credit Suisse, as well as the Volkswagen AG diesel emissions case. David has prosecuted numerous individuals in connection with these and other international schemes, including obtaining the trial conviction of a South Korean government official in a complex money laundering and bribery case.

Prior to joining the Department of Justice, he worked at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP in New York and Washington and clerked for the Hon. Diana Murphy on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. He graduated from Elon University and Duke Law School.
